Calling all LEGO lovers of all ages! Dump those buckets of multi-colored LEGOs and get started. The deadline for contest entries has been extended to April 20th at 5 pm.

This year even more prizes are waiting to be given to some deserving LEGO architect, just like YOU! Scene 75 is sponsoring this event and have donated 1st place prizes in each youth category, which include a $75 Scene 75 cash card. Other prizes have been donated by Troy Meijer, Troy Walmart, Sky Zone, Jumpy’s Fun Zone, Get Air, Troy McDonald’s, Troy Papa John’s Pizza, Troy Skyline Chili, Tipp City’s Hickory River, Tipp City Dairy Queen, Hobart Arena, Troy Skate Club, Coldwater Café, The Caroline, Indian Creek Distillery, Dayton Dragons, Newport Aquarium, LEGOLAND, Cinemark, and more! Prizes will be awarded April 27th at the close of the Brick Blowout Event. Pick up a registration packet at WACO Air Museum or download at www.wacoairmuseum.org.

The theme of this year’s contest, LEGO LAUNCH: OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do you dream of traveling to Mars? Perhaps you are not that adventurous. It’s okay. How about a shorter trip? To the moon? Maybe you would rather keep your feet firmly planted right here on good ‘ole earth and work for NASA or Space X. Do you want to design a space suit? Or be in the control center on launch day? Perhaps you can design a rover for the next trip to a faraway planet. Have you dreamed of piloting the Millennium Falcon or the Destroyer? Or considered what it was like to be aboard the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle with Neil Armstrong in 1969? 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing... and whatever your “space dream,” let’s celebrate advancements made in space exploration and space travel. Be creative as you choose with Lego designs. All ages are welcome to enter. Find your entry form and Rules & Regulations at:www.wacoairmuseum.org.

Then, on April 27th between noon and 5 pm, bring your family and friends to WACO Air Museum to see a giant exhibit built by OKI Lug. This Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana Tri State Lego Users Group is a non-profit organization that is over 70 members strong! Check out some of their massive creations at www.OKILUG.com. All local entries will also be displayed. Once again, Culvers is sponsoring the LEGO scavenger hunt, with an ice cream token for each scavenger hunt participant. Other activities include a LEGO building zone with thousands of bricks for building, popcorn and a LEGO movie, a market for those who want to sell gently used LEGO kits, photo op opportunities, a 50/50 raffle, voting for the People’s Choice Award, and over 50 prizes to be given away in drawings throughout the day.
