Passing of Friend & Supporter of Aviation Trail: James Richard "Jim" Hartzell (1934 - 2026) James Hartzell (1934–2026), who died June 19, 2026 in Piqua, Ohio, was born in Troy to the late Robert N. and Miriam (née Herrman) Hartzell. Jim's father Robert (1896 - 1968) who founded the Hartzell Walnut Propeller Company in 1917 was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame's Class of 2015.
