Taking Flight Gala at Tri-State Warbird Museum
June 12 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm: The Taking Flight Gala is an event that draws the attention of corporate and philanthropic leaders across the Tri-State area. Stearman Fly-In - June 19 - 21
National Museum of the United States Air Force® A colorful lineup of historic Stearman biplanes will visit the Museum this summer during a new Stearman Fly-In, bringing dozens of these classic trainer aircraft to the flightline. Organizers expect between 40-50 aircraft, making it one of the largest gatherings of aircraft to visit the Museum. UK Provides Emergency Air Drop - Medical personnel parachute to remote island: Recent news stories have featured the outbreak of Hantavirus, the life-threatening respiratory illness that occurred when a cruise ship visited the remote island of Tristan da Cunha in April. The island has no air strip and is normally only accessible by boat. Medical resources are meager; thus, an air drop was only way to get medical support and supplies.
