April 15, 2015 - ATI Trailblazer Award

 

Sinclair Community College’s Aviation Technology Department was the recipient of Aviation Trail’s 2015 Trailblazer Award presented on Wednesday, April 15, at 6:00 PM, in Dayton. For more details see the "news" page: CLICK HERE.

August 7, 2015 - Runway Fest

 

Runway Fest, located at Wright Brothers Airport, is a free event on Friday, August 7, 2014 starting at 5:00 pm and ending at 9:00 pm. It will feature Live Music, Aircraft Static Displays, Airplane Rides, Hot Air Balloon Launch, Inflatables, Pony Rides, Clowns, Food & Drink.

August 16, 2015 - ATI Picnic Basket Event

at the Huffman Prairie Flying Field

National Park Service Ranger Craig Campbell will present

the story of the NPS and WPAFB's efforts to create a home

for the preservation of Ohio's native bee colonies on the air base.

Aviation Trail, Inc. proudly presents our annual celebration of Orville and Katherine Wright's birthday with a Picnic and the Wright "Bees" Flyers, up on the hill. The picnic will begin at Noon on Sunday, August 16, on the Wright-Brothers Hill at Wright-Patterson AFB.

 

There will be picnic baskets with Jersey Mike's sandwiches, fruit and cookies.

 

Reservations can be made by sending a check to Aviation Trail, Inc., PO Box 633, Wright Brothers Branch, Dayton, OH 45409.

 

Reservations can also be made online by credit card on the "Membership/Donations/Reservation Orders" page of this website (CLICK HERE).

 

Picnic cost is $14.00 per adult, or $39.00 for a family of five.

 

Reservations should be made by Friday, August 14th.

September 12, 2015 - AERO Carnival

The National Park Service's AERO CARNIVAL at Huffman Prairie.  Free, Saturday afternoon.  The event will include a demo parachute jump, RC models, and various family activities throughout the day, from 10:30 to 4:30.

December 17, 2015 - Celebration of the 112th Anniversary of First Powered Flight

ATI's Celebration of the 112th Anniversary of FIRST POWERED FLIGHT in 1903 honoring the Wright Brothers. Location and ticket informationfor this reception and dinner will be announced soon.
