Celebrate National Aviation Day at the Wright Memorial August 19, 2018

Sunday, August 19, 2018 • 10:00AM to 4:00PM

Do you have a memory or a hero that you would like to honor? Memorials are often dedicated to people or events that made a difference in our world. The citizens of Dayton, Ohio saw Orville and Wilbur Wright as home town heroes and built a lasting memorial to celebrate the brothers' experiments in early flight.

On August 19th, 2018 Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park will be celebrating National Aviation Day by hosting a memorial design and build contest for children of all ages. Please join us at the Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center located at 2380 Memorial Rd., Dayton, OH to learn about the Wright brothers and celebrate National Aviation Day by making a memorial of your own. This free program is open to the public and activities will occur from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Celebrate National Aviation Day and build a memorial dedicated to your personal hero!
