Children and their families are invited to join the Museum Educator in the STEM Inspiration Center at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum for a fun, hands-on learning experience all about black holes!


Using simple materials like balloons and aluminum foil, participants will explore how black holes form, what they are, and the fascinating science behind these mysterious objects in space. This interactive program is designed especially for children, sparking curiosity and encouraging questions in a supportive, educational environment.


Following the program, continue the experience with a guided tour of the museum led by the Museum Educator, where you'll discover more about space science and the exhibits that connect to the theme.


  • Program begins at 2:00 PM in the STEM Inspiration Center

  • Guided museum tour begins at 3:00 PM


An adult must accompany children during both the program and the tour. No RSVP is required. General admission must be paid upon entry to participate.

The Armstrong Air & Space Museum’s Talk & Tour program offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of aviation and spaceflight through an engaging two-part experience. Each session begins with a presentation by a knowledgeable staff member, delving into fascinating space topics. Following the talk, guests embark on a guided tour of the museum, where they can see artifacts up close and gain deeper insights into the exhibits. This immersive program provides an enriching experience for space enthusiasts of all ages.
