Museum Expansion and Betty Stagg-Turner Memorial Scholarship:

Museum Expansion

Stop in and visit us to see what's new...we have expanded our museum to include a 4th room! This room will primarily be used to host events and will be our classroom & Officers Club for our Aviation Cadet Experience. This room is modeled after a WWII Nissen Hut or Quonset hut and we are so excited to put it to use! We completed it just in time for Cookies with Santa and it was a welcome addition to have a heated space to serve all those delicious cookies and hot cocoa.  We are continuing to put the finishing touches on the room, by adding some period correct artifacts & decor. It will feel as though you have stepped back in time to 1943 when we are completely finished. While you are visiting, don't forget your Aviation Trail "Wilbear" passport brochure. You can collect your stamp for visiting us, and if we are your 8th or greater stamp, and you have met all other requirements, you can collect your bear!

Betty Stagg-Turner Memorial Scholarship

We are actively looking for sponsors and donors for our Betty Stagg-Turner Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is for females in all aspects of aviation, not just aspiring pilots. Betty was a WASP, and she loved to fly the North American AT-6 Texan. We are working towards acquiring a T-6 of our own, which will be used to fund the scholarship through the sale of aircraft experiences. Our scholarship program is managed by the Middletown Community Foundation.

For more information, go to our website;

You can also reach out to Tim, president of BCW and a personal friend of Betty's. Tim can be reached at tim@bcwarbirds.com and would love to talk more about the scholarship program & how you can be a part of it.
