Aircraft & Artifacts Scavenger Hunt:

Wednesday, September 16th at 11:00am - 2:30pm

Aircraft & Artifacts: A Scavenger Hunt Experience of 1940's America

In Partnership with Ohio Open Doors & Ohio History Connection

Join us at the Champaign Aviation Museum for a family-friendly and self-guided scavenger hunt to locate 10 key aircraft and artifacts that defined the American home front and war front experiences during World War II. Beginning in the Museum lobby, visitors can pick-up their aircraft map, scavenger hunt worksheet, and pen at the front desk before heading into the Museum for the hunt. Spanning three buildings that are wheelchair accessible, participants will find the required items with provided visual clues and then write the item name on their worksheet. After finishing the scavenger hunt, participants can turn-in their completed worksheets at the lobby front desk to receive a free sticker, patch, or magnet! Volunteers will be on-site to answer any questions, and disposable earplugs will be available as a portion of the experience includes the B-17 Champaign Lady restoration area.  A complete listing of Ohio Open Doors participating sites and events can be found at ohiohistory.org/opendoors
