Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park Operations Notice

Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center will temporarily be closed beginning Wednesday, November 15, 2023:

Operations Notice: The Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center will temporarily be closed beginning Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The interpretive center will reopen Friday, March 1, 2024.


While the interior park facilities will be closed, the grounds of the Wright Memorial and the Huffman Prairie Flying Field will remain open to the public daily from dawn to dusk. The visitor center will open temporarily in support of the US Air Force First Flight Ceremony on December 15, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.


The Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center and Wright Cycle Shop will remain open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the Paul Laurence Dunbar House will be open Friday - Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ranger-led tours and scheduled throughout the day at both sites. All Dayton History sites will remain open during this time and hours information can be found at www.daytonhistory.org.
