Lunch with President Abraham LincolnFebruary 18 | 11:30am

Join us for an afternoon that transcends time. We are honored to welcome renowned historic presenter John Cooper as he inhabits the character of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln.

I have faith in the people. They will not consent to disunion. The danger is, they are misled. Let them know the truth, and the country is safe." Abraham Lincoln
I have faith in the people. They will not consent to disunion. The danger is, they are misled. Let them know the truth, and the country is safe." Abraham Lincoln

Lincoln’s ties to the Miami Valley are deep; from his 1859 visit to Dayton, to his friendship with Lebanon’s own Thomas Corwin, he viewed the region as the "garden spot of the world." Cooper will regale us with the wit, humility, and intellectual rigor that defined the Lincoln presidency.

Lincoln’s presence reminds us of a time when leadership was measured by the "better angels of our nature" rather than the volume of one's grievances. Come witness a portrayal of an Executive who understood that the weight of the Union required a steady hand, a quiet mind, and faith in its people.
