Sinclair Awarded Grant

Congratulations to Sinclair College for the $545,000 grant awarded by The National Science Foundation. The funds are directed to the Sinclair National UAS Training and Certification Center.



The Sinclair National UAS Training and Certification Center is Site #17 on the Aviation Trail

Located on the Sinclair College Dayton Campus in Building 13, the Sinclair National UAS Training and Certification Center and Aviation Technology facilities lead the nation in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and traditional aviation training and education, applied research and development, consulting, and STEM outreach.


The National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) program (award #192003) project titled “Educating Entrepreneurial Technicians for Unmanned Aerial Systems,” will support:

• creating a new Sinclair one-year certificate in UAS entrepreneurial training

• UAS outreach to K-12 students in STEM fields

• creating a UAS entrepreneurship start-up competition
