Sinclair, SNC Announce Launch of Aviation-Focused Workforce Pipeline Program

Sinclair Community College and Sierra Nevada Corp. have partnered to launch the SNC-Sinclair Academy, establishing the Dayton region's first employer co-designed aviation workforce pipeline. The program will prepare Aviation Technology students for careers in aircraft maintenance and aerospace operations through specialized training aligned with SNC's standards and workforce needs. Graduates who meet performance requirements will have a direct pathway to employment with the company.

Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel highlighted the importance of the partnership, saying, "Students succeed when employers and educators stay connected to what's happening in the real world and work together to prepare young people for the opportunities ahead." The academy aims to strengthen Ohio's aerospace workforce while creating new career opportunities for Sinclair graduates.
