113th Anniversary of First Powered Flight

ATI Celebration of the 113th Anniversary of First Powered Flight - Date to be announced.

Aviation Trail's Celebration of the 113th Anniversary of FIRST POWERED FLIGHT in 1903 honoring the Wright Brothers will be held at Sinclair Community College. Dinner will begin at 6:30 PM with the program at 7:30 PM. The date will be announced soon.

The event will be held in the UAS Indoor Flying Pavilion at Sinclair Community College (Building 18), with an open house at the National UAS Training & Certification Center (Building 13) which is home to the nation’s first permanent, custom-built unmanned aerial systems (UAS) flying facility. There will be two featured speakers at the event: Dr. Andrew Shepherd and Dr. Ronald Storm, both from Sinclair Community College and both Ohioans.

Travel Note - Third St. Bridge closure:

The Third Street Bridge will be CLOSED beginning Jan. 1, 2020 until approximately Oct. 2021. Visitors can use the Fifth St. Bridge or the Salem Ave. Bridge as detours from downtown Dayton. A file with more detailed instructions for visitors traveling from the north or south via I-75, or from the east and west via US35 can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE.
