Update of October 5

Due to weather, the event at McCook Field scheduled for October 5 was rescheduled for October 6. There wIll be a ceremony on Friday, October 6, to dedicate the new historical marker, and attendees are welcome, but there will not be any exhibit/displays.

The rescheduled event will take place at 1:30 PM, Friday, October 6 at Kettering Fields (444 N. Bend Blvd). The base will not reschedule their picnic or kickball tournament. Parking will be available at the ball fields.

The event, to celebrate the McCook Centennial, is hosted by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, which traces its beginnings to historic McCook Field. The field is located at 444 North Bend Blvd, Dayton, Ohio 45404.
