Behind the Scenes Tours of Special Collections & Archives, Wright State University

September 11 and 12, 2018


Interested in the Wright Brothers, aviation history, genealogy, or local history? Want to see what goes on behind the scenes here in the Archives? Join us for a tour of Special Collections & Archives on September 11 and 12. Tours will be held Tuesday, September 11, from 3:30-5pm, and Wednesday, September 12, 5:30-7pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to see items from the Wright Brothers Collection, historical aviation material, and letters, diaries, and photographs documenting life in the Miami Valley, as well as a behind the scenes tour of the Archives. Space is limited, so please call 937-775-2092 to register. The event is part of Ohio Open Doors week, a program of the Ohio History Connection.

Discover Ohio’s amazing heritage Fri., Sept. 7, through Sun., Sept. 16, as historic buildings and landmarks across our state open their doors for special tours and events during the statewide event Ohio Open Doors. Explore fascinating places that reflect Ohio’s rich heritage, some open especially for Ohio Open Doors events or offering behind-the-scenes looks that aren’t ordinarily available.
