Now in its 28th year, Fleurs de Fête has become one of the Midwest's finest food and wine celebrations. While Fleurs has experienced several iterations over the years, it is known as "the original party in the Park" for good reason—the inaugural event was held at Carillon Park nearly three decades ago.
Over 400 wines from all over the world will be available. The Belgian Beer Garden will return with offerings from Rhinegeist, Taft's Ale House, Stella Artois, and other regional and national breweries. And an impressive list of over 20 restaurants are slated for this year's event, including The Oakwood Club, Jay's Seafood, and Carver's Steaks & Chops.
A silent auction will also be available; guests are encouraged to pull a mystery bottle from the Wall of Wine; and live music will be provided by Kim Kelly Orchestra.
Fleurs de Fête was conceived by Heidelberg Distributing Co. CEO Vail Miller and Arrow Wine Owner Mike Frank. Today their sons Vail Miller Jr. and Mif Frank continue this fine community tradition.
This year's event arrives on the heels of Arrow Wine's recent announcement that they will soon open a third location in Mason. Opened in 1934, a third generation of family members are now running the iconic Miami Valley business.
All proceeds from Fleurs de Fête benefit Dayton History in its mission to inspire generations by connecting them with the unique people, places, and events that changed Dayton and the world. Donations will also be made to A Special Wish and Rebuilding Together Dayton.
Carillon Historical Park is part of Dayton History, a private non-profit organization established to preserve, share, and celebrate our region’s history. The Park's 65-acre campus is home to over 30 historic structures and cares for over three million artifacts. In addition to Carillon Historical Park, the following sites rest under Dayton History’s care: Carillon Brewing Co., Hawthorn Hill, the Paul Laurence Dunbar House Historic Site, Patterson Homestead, the Old Court House, the Mound Cold War Discovery Center, Memorial Hall, and the Archive Center.
