Parachute Museum Potvin Donation Update

Research physicist and parachute expert, Dr. Jean Potvin delivers additional items to the collection:

Dr. Potvin has been a major donor to the Aviation Trail Parachute Museum, beginning with a visit in 2021 when he drove in from St. Louis University with several crates full of parachute related materials. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibility of collaboration between Dr. Potvin and the Parachute Museum, allowing some of his parachutes and ejection seats to stored and displayed at the museum. One of his goals is to make his items more easily available for public view. Since that meeting he has brought various other related materials, including a large assortment of ejection seats. This latest trip of Oct. 23, 2026 included an ejection seat canopy panel from an A-2D Skyshark. The addition of these items helps provide the basis of planned expansion of the Parachute Museum. See an description of the expansion plans in this link: https://www.aviationtrailinc.org/parachutemuseumexpansionproject.
